Intc was $100 eighteen months ago, $65 eight months ago, $144 two months ago, $105 ten days ago.

Intel was 3 5/8 ten years ago. That would require something like 16 25% moves without error to achieve the same return. Not to mention the commissions (which, I realize, are insignificant for most SI members). I'm another buy and hold investor, but I realize that there are those who want to (and successfully do) trade their way to wealth.

INTC has been a tough one the past few years. I bought my first shares in the spring of 1997 at 147 (now 73.50), and my overall cost basis is 81. I'm not in long enough to be very "long term", but one does have to start somewhere.
