While I too believe in the immense value of Qualcomm's IP portfolio, don't be fooled by a wall full of plaques. I visited Dell once not too long ago and they too have quite a wall full. You remember Dell, right? They're a PC company proud of the fact that they do almost no research. No flames, anyone, please, I like Dell, they're a great company, just not a powerhouse in R&D.
