Victor - I got my 47.75 number from a very senior guy at CPQ who was under the impression that all of the executive options were granted at the same price. I just popped him some mail on this topic including the substance of Lynn's post. He replied that he thought the article's author was estimating the strike price. It used to be set in the first week of December (which could have put it at around 31) but due to new accounting rules (as a result of the DEC merger) the price is now done in mid-January. Or so he thinks. I bet there will be a few after-hours conversations on this topic over the next few days...
