The American strike is opening the door more than a crack. Depending on its length, it will inevitably increase VJET's load factor. Since they will also pick up some of American's mail-carrier business, another built-in plus enters the picture. The active fleet is now at 20, probably still shy what is necessary for clear profitability, but the direction persists. Breaking the psychology barrier is an important intangible. Many people haven't been comfortable getting back on a VJET flight after the crash. Having to accept what is available will get many back on board. Once they realize they're getting the same kind of service as before, with attractive discounted prices PLUS the guarantee of improved maintenance/safety oversight, people will return in larger numbers. Repeat customers will follow. The stock looks like a great bargain at these levels even if profitability remains many months off.
