Since 90% of the customers are from the U.S., and Bid.com does not reach the U.S. via advertising as it does in Canada, do you think this could account for the discrepancy between the other U.S. auction sites and Bid.com?
I have heard you all say that there are shop naked bill boards and radio advertisements about Bid.com in Canada. Aside from seeing the name on Aol a couple of times, I would never know they exist. You know how many times you have to advertise to reach a customer? They say quite a few times before the name is remembered.
Bid.com needs more exposure to potential customers in the U.S. and there is only one way to do that. ADVERTISE! I know it costs, but how else will you reach customers? Plus, with the competition they have in the U.S. for Inet auctions, they must establish their uniqueness with the Dutch auction, sports cards,etc.
