There is a decent article in this months Forbes which mentions Texas Instruments and their push to see DSL become main stream. TI likes the system because of the noise which can occur over copper, however, their DSP chips tend to correct this, kind of a nice fit, IMO. The auther mentions that Dataquest analyst, Gregory Sheppard, says box makers, CPQ & Dell, will be shipping PC's with DSL-capable modems in volume by the end of this year. This tells me that there should be a serious build out in the very near future, in order to make these new PC's viable. The relationship between Pair and TI will be a great plus to boot.
