Sun Microsystems To Acquire Novell in Stock Deal Not a fact - yet. As an investor in Sun, the beginnings of rumblings to this effect have me intrigued. Would this be good for Novell - and also for Sun? Here's why I think its a possibility. (1) Sun is asking its shareholders to authorize much more stock than they need for the upcoming 2:1 split. (2) McNealy just spent a week on the road with Morgan Stanley. (3) Schmidt's obvious history with McNealy and Sun. (4) The two companies might fit well together. I don't know a lot about Novell other than what I read in the recent cover story in "Barron's." What do you Novell stockholders think? Thanks. Ken Wilson
