G'day all - Lucius, there is at least one major difference between Coke and Nortel, target audience. Well, a corollary is the shelf space [old marketing 101 concept before the advent of the net.]

Name recognition is definitely important for any product, however. Also, as it was implicit in my previous posts, it may be overboard to get bend out of shape to insist people calling Philip "Philip" and reject "Phil," so long as "Phil" is getting the business! And can very well backfire! It is more important to know 'Nortel Inside' <G> is getting it outside.
