Here's some info from an email I got this A.M. in response to my response to an angered GMGC holder, FWIW:
> Are we sure it's bad business, or are we just frustrated we aren't worth a lot > more money today?
I don't know what to think, let me copy another mail I just sent:
----- > Iffranco,Im disappointed also but Im not going to panic and dump my shares just > yet. Markman said that they will be able to handle up to 500,000 subscribers by > years end so something is brewing.
And is not Portico.
I just received 2 emails from Markman, in the late stating somehow (at least is what I understand) that Portico is not "The" product, they'll get revenue from something else, not particullary Portico, he didn't disclose this, or say that explicity, this are his words:
"I have said many times, this is not the right measure of progress for the company. AOL did not announce user numbers for years after they began. Why? It's competitive information and it didn't matter! Likewise, it doesn't matter for our business."
(I was asking about subscriber numbers and give him my wondering number of 1,500)
It didn't matter? it doesn't matter for THEIR bussiness?? what's their bussiness now? I tought it was Portico, well seems, at least for me, they have something else besides Portico, let's hope bor the best.
> You probably wont get much for your shares tomorrow anyways beacuse a lot of > people are panicking and will sell tomorrow.
Yeah... I'm holding, as I said on Yahoo boards, the last 500 I got came from proceedings on my daytrades earlier in this month. Right now I'm doing terrible well with ZD, AOL, EMC and SUNW, so if something go really wrong (a margin call, for example) I could sell some of my big gainers now.
Thank you, good luck |
