Mike, there are now and have been for hundreds of years people from all over the world filled with vain imaginations, to say the least.
About 5 yrs. ago a friend of mine told me a very similar story as the one you have related, he lives in florida. I also remember as a teenager, some relatives also relating a similar story that their friends had told them, As a child,I was quite impressed. They all lived in various parts of the country.
Neither have I ever picked up a hitch hiker, and never will.! But I have often thought while driving when I have seen hitch hikers, that maybe I ought to....maybe he has a message for me to give to the world, but then good old common sense, and wisdom kicks in big time, and real fast. My luck, he'd rob me blind, shoot me in the face and then....... vanish....with my car!!!
In all seriousness Mike, this happening you speak about is almost as common as the stories of UFO's.

Aside from the fact that he was referred to as a guy, which many people have related, there is more biblical evidence that it will be Michael who will be lowing the trumpet, and not Gabriel!.
Secondly, there are 7 trumpets to be sounded, and at least 4 and more likely 5, have already been sounded and not many people are listening anyway. And believe me Mike when the 6th trump is sounded the world will know it, but sadly most of the world will not realize what is going on, they will believe wrongly, that Christ has returned.
And as to the 7th trump, well by the time we hear that one, and all the world will be too late for most to undo what they did at the 6th.
God did not leave us unprepared or ignorant of the timing of his plan. It is written! And for those interested, there is no question as to what we should be looking for while still in the field doing God's work.
Remember, the antichrist comes first..... disguised as Jesus!
