Bob, I don't think LGND will/can sign a distribution deal for Targretin for some kinds of cancer and not others -- it would create an even worse problem than what they would have faced distribution wise if targretin were used for both diabetes and cancer. My guess is that potential distributors will have to fork out more up-front cash to lock-in the rights for all Targretin cancer applications without know ing what all of them might be. The reward would be that if Targretin does work for ABC, then they'll get a better deal now rather than waiting to find out about all of Targretin's uses. FWIW Jeff
