Panama has both Pacific and Caribbean beaches. There is world class surfing here, as well as more tranquil waters. Excellent fishing on Lake Gatun. Canopy tours through the jungle on "zip-wires" and good hiking in the mountains around El Valle. A lot of divers go to Portobello and Contadora. There are islands, that prohibit automobiles, which are reachable by 1/2 hour boat ride. For runners, there is a park called Parque Omar which has a 3.5k course if one finds it difficult to make it out of the city. What about the Philippines?
