I read that article. Very nicely written.(6/15/98 article also very good "Go ahead: Buy the Dream") I think the problem with the Internet and Venture Capital is that if you have a great non patentable idea (Marketing Idea) it is risky going around showing multiple Venture Capitalist your Business Plan. Since I am afraid that one of them might steal it and give it to a much more experienced management team. Myself and two partners are currently starting an Internet advertising based business (Selling eyeballs to advertisers like yahoo, amazon, E-Trade.....). Great new concept but very easily copied. Am sure that after we start our road show to Internet companies that at least one of them will copy the idea. Just better hope that we are fast enough and that our pooled resources are sufficient enough to make enough money before others copy it. Does anybody know where is it best to go and meet people in Internet industry on a more casual level? I think we are off to a great start here on this thread hopefully it continues.
