Did not hear about it, but I think a lot of people can relate. A recent episode of "Homicide" had a bit about a movie theater manager putting Valium in one patron's coke to shut him up, only he put too much and the guy died. The part of the manager was played by Wallace Shawn, one of my favorite character actors. The theater was one of those that play oldies, like "Casablanca" and "The Maltese Falcon." He explained that every night the guy would come in and start saying the dialogue along with the actors, very loud. Every one of the homicide detectives sympathized.

I don't think laughing at bits other people don't find funny is the same, because frequently I just get the joke sooner than everyone else and they start laughing only moments later.
