Caxton *** More OT *** Also Some "Not OT Ramblings "
I've learned the hard way not to fall in love with any company
or it's technology. 'tis not good for the pocket book.(So I refuse
to love or hate either Qcom, Ericsson, or Nokia.)

Still hanging on to some Ericy, and waiting to see if/what they will
gain from an agreement with Q and others, and how they will leverage
their installed base of voice switches to take advantage of
the zillions of voice & data packets which will be piggy backed
onto those switches.
When QCOM and others create those packets, they may very well
end up going for a ride on those switches.

Just to repeat myself, too many people spend too much time worrying
about the "RF interface-last mile", and the related controversy.

If it should become necessary ---
Ericsson could totally forget about the "RF Interface" business, and redirect it's efforts towards it's other divisions; and become a good investment.

Don't understand how/why Nokia will gain from a QCOM/Ericy agreement,
but I will go where the market tells me to.

Re Last Mile stuff -- Guess there are three areas, IE xDSL, Cable,
and Wireless Local Loop.

Just noted a big gorilla called Microsoft has partnered with 3COM.
(Just sold some Nokia, and bought COMS).

Other gorillas -- ATT/TCI , who else ??

Ericy could be a gorilla, but it has to agressively persue it's
"string of pearls" and other initiatives.

And how about Siemens ??

Nuff Ramblin for today.
Best,
Mardy.
