ZD -- Always respected their mags, but the business story is another matter. I found a backgrounder article describing the connection between Softbank, Etrade, and ZD. Worth reading IMO. A tad dated, but illuminating. (1/11/99) observer.com Can't link directly to the article. Enter ZD in the search box. Many compare ZD to CNET, which has run bigtime and split recently. Others hope for another DBCC. Myself, I wonder what the IPO is gonna do for their $1.5 Billion debt, other than distract people. Certainly I'm more comfortable playing the short side of this one....radar, anyone?
