I respect what you are saying, but you realize that by designing in the requirement to search out the article they get more hits and more page views of advertising, which is where the money is at. ZD is very close to all the Hi-Tech companies and there is a sort of buddy buddy relationship to the press for nice articles. I would expect them to be very Internet Stock savvy. You may be able to make money on a short here, but for the average Joe, I think that the upside is much more realistic. The lemming factor of longs going in is larger than I would be comfortable with a short. Again the lightning fast experience Shorter could well make money, those who ain't that are at much greater risk. IMO YMMV
