Ramsey, EVERYONE [except us*] benefits if pressure on Q! cuts their licence fees and royalties. Sprint will leave Q! to be fought by all, knowing that Q! will INSIST on the chip rate and backward compatibility. Sprint wants backward compatibility and no royalties.

PS Dow 16,000 Feb 2002

Joseph: //Are you turning bearish? That's only 18% annual rate of growth from today's closing price.//

When I first said Dow 16000 Feb 2002 and Dow 8000 Feb 1998 back in 1995 when the Dow was 4500 and Myron Kandell [sp?] on CNN along with many others were predicting quite a fall after the big rise, NOBODY was saying 8000 made any sense let alone 16000 which they thought indicated simple insanity or some kind of weird joke.

Now you are thinking 'bearish'? See how quickly The New Paradigm is working. Now I bet most of you don't think 8000 is hugely over the top. Some of you might even be starting to think 16000 'bears' some similarity to 10000. Dougjn noticed that the growth rate needed to get to 16000 by Feb 2002 wasn't extorquerationate. Now you. Soon it will be fashionable. It'll probably rise too soon and do a 25% crash before Feb 2002. That should be fun.

Meanwhile, IBM brings out a new chip which will, like all these things, benefit CDMA disproportionately, making Tero's ululation of Nokia's GSM handsets an anachronistic joke. Then IBM will bring out a SiGe version of their new chip and Q! will be able to perform amazing cellular tricks.

Looks as though EarCells [TM] will be possible very soon, with voice recognition and Sony 3D glasses for watching 3D WWeb in stereophonic sound. Earcells [TM] are similar to little hearing aids as made by Phonak and others which fit inside your ear and act as a noise filter, controller and communicator.

[I tried to keep it to a word, but got carried away! With Q! trading above my golf lows, we have now entered the initial phase of the Q! Black Hole. Once my and Q! means reach convergence we should see the beginning of the Big Black Hole inflation with a rapid rate. Having a totally blowout quarter underway isn't going to hurt!]
