Intel employees do not receive stock options at below market price. When they are granted (either when the employee starts or annually around April if the employee gets additional options for good performance), they are priced at the market price. If our company's price doesn't rise, we don't benefit. Some people don't like the dilution associated with the tech industry's practice of issuing stock options, but IMO they certainly are an incentive to work hard.
