Mike,
Do you or anyone out there how the royalty agreement between
Datawatch and Math Strategies (programmer and owner of Monarch)is structured. Datawatch disclosed that total royalties in FY96 were $1,900,000, however, its difficult to say how much of this relates to Monarch versus other products. If Monarch sales for the year were ~$12M, this would seem to be a significant royalty if it related solely to Monarch sales (and a possible drag going forward).

Also, is it possible for Math Strategies to sell similar software
to other partners in the future? Check out their web site @ www.mathstrategies.com, it appears that they may be trying.

Why doesn't Datawatch purchase Math Strategies and attempt to develop Monarch internally?
