I've wondered the same thing, perhaps exacerbated by the instantaneous availability of company information and shortening of the average investment time frame. I suspect weak demand for small-caps may also play a part. Bottom line, the cause doesn't really matter. What matters is recognizing the phenomenon and adjusting accordingly. - Jeff
