Hi AnnieO,
I hear your message (and welcome it!), but please don't forget the fact that DELL is getting stronger in the server market, and also, although not discussed too much in depth on this thread, they are becoming a player in the data storage market (and getting stronger due to the IBM technology input, which they discussed but went unnoticed by almost everyone).
Did you see the article on EMC in the latest Business Week? I think DELL is getting ready to eat their lunch. I think this area will equal, if not exceed, DELL's PC business in the next few years.
This is the typical thing that DELL does, look for those areas where the leaders are grossly overpricing their services/products, then ATTACK!
And, as you point out, DELL is positioned extremely well to take advantage of the Asian increase in PC use. The other areas are gravy, but I think they will ultimately be more profitable.
On the other hand, what the H.. do I know. :-)

PS. I forgot to mention that DELL was getting in to the e-commerce business, which should be good for a few points, given that they do execute well when they go after a market.
The management of this company is among the the best. My greatest mistake is not to have bought this stock years ago!
Whine!
