According to the Yahoo profile, Quintiles (Nasdaq:QTRN) is engaged in the provision of full-service contract research, sales and marketing serices to the global pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. For the nine months ended 9/30/98, revenues increased 46% to $848.4 million. Net income increased 53% to $58.9 million. Revenues benefitted from increased existing and initiated services. Earnings also reflect a decrease in depreciation and general and administrative expense as a percentage of sales.

On January 25th, 1999, STGI released, Steroidogenesis -STGI- & Quintiles -QTRN- in Master Services Discussions for Quintiles' Accelerated Proof of Concept Services. The article is at:
biz.yahoo.com

A great article about Quintiles, Quintiles: Outsourcing Sweeps the Drug Biz, can be found at: fnews.yahoo.com.

The Aids Research Alliance is helping with the ANTICORT HIV treatment
study. If you were to add in the help of the Quintiles, this study is going to have a lot of weight behind it.

Quintiles involvement in STGI is significant. STGI doesn't have the means of mass-producing and marketing ANTICORT. Quintiles is the leader of the bio-tech outsourcing industry. They would be a perfect fit.

The fact that Quintiles was even remotely interested in ANTICORT was the main reason I bought STGI. STGI has the potential of being a monster drug, which means monster dollars.

BTW, I have been trying to get ahold of someone at Quintiles about STGI. When I hear something, I'll post it here.
