My question is, why do they do theses things? I do not think that they do them to attract "better" men, if they were interested in attracting men they would be taking cues from the men that they actually associate with, and developing altogether different areas of themselves. I honestly don't know why they do it.

There's not only the female-male dynamic at work, but also a powerful female-female dynamic that factors in. I think women are thinking as much (if not more) about what other women will think of their appearance as they are what men will.

And if I hadn't left my research in the bathroom last night, I could prove it!
