OK,,, First of all , this so called Liberation was and is BS-----Kuwait was a district of Iraq up to the first world war.....
The British , in order to lessen Iraq's control of oil created Kuwait... in the process this cut off most of Iraq's access to the Gulf.....
Also there was the little problem of Kuwait stealing Iraqui oil ..
Don't feed me the Liberation BS,,,, "it's the oil stupid" ....and who controls it...
Bush was also having his own little problems at the time.... Sliding popularity coupled with demands to cut back military spending and enjoy some of the so called "peace dividend"... Bush was not about to forget those who put him in the White House....
There was also no treaties or agreements with Kuwait to act as an ally....
No offence, but some of you have a way of putting a virtuous spin on some very ugly and nasty stuff, which is about as far away from the virtue you spew as is possible to get... |
