****OT***** BC... interesting, but all of WCAP's earnings appear to be unrealized gains from their COOL stock. Given that they appear to hold about a quarter of the float in COOL, I can't imagine them being able to dump it all at once for the current price.

So it would seem that the current "earnings" will inevitably be followed by large "losses" in the current quarter, since COOL has dropped from about $45 to around $20 since the end of the year. (I don't see any insider selling listed from WCAP lately).

CMGI books its profits much differently, calling them earnings only after the stock has actually been sold.

Selling stock at this point, I would imagine, would be practically mandatory for WCAP, since all of its eggs (earnings) are pretty much coming from one basket right now.... and said selling, of course, could bring hefty taxes and add to the "loss" reported to shareholders.

It seems there is more going on beneath the surface there.

Just a thought, as I enjoy discussing stocks,
L.E.
