You folks seem pretty cynical. Relax. Listening to an $8.4B CMGI's conference call, I'm convinced this company will soon be worth $50B. This firm is larger than life, and much more powerful than anyone imagines. In fact, what CMGI's got going is awesome and unprecedented. But hey, it's way, way too much for Wall Street to comprehend. You can understand that... Management did a good job, especially with a surprisingly ignorant group of analysts and private investors. Interestingly, one individual investor outshone almost all of the pros, and elicited a more useful response from David W. regarding a prospective stock split than the three previous times the question was raised. Cheer up. The "next" AOL, CSCO, DELL or MSFT? Nah, they were the "last" CMGI. BAM P.S. Management comments to the contrary notwithstanding, a stock split looks imminent and will be 3:1. (It's apparent that the authorized shares need to be increased.)
