Here is a link to a post on this thread that is an unbiased news piece about the entire competitive market in internet telephony. Of course IDT is mentioned.

You will see as you research this that a lot may happen in this market, but one thing is sure and undisputed. IDT is the current leader in internet telephony. They have more customers, more minutes logged, more advertising and exposure by far than anyone else.

IDT is already competing with the big 3 in long distance service and they are gaining market share fast as their revenue growth clearly shows. They have not been afraid to go up against AT&T, MCI and Sprint in the past and they will not shy away in the future.

Howard Jonas, the CEO of IDT is a former AT&T top executive from before the break up. He has built this company from 11 million dollars to 600 million in just a few short years, mostly at the expense of the big 3. He knows what he is doing and he has surrounded himself with extremely competent people who are major go-getters. If you look at the presence IDT has already gained on the internet with just about every big name on the web, you can see that they are dominating internet telephony. It will take the lethargic big boys a long time just to dent what IDT has already established.

Hope this helps,
