Jas,

Interesting that FORE didn't make the list in the article you posted. Seems to me they made the criteria. (Also found the info about Alcatel buying VLSI very interesting...perhaps someone should let Phillips know this:)

This stock is an unqualified dog. No two ways about it. Anybody that disagrees is wrong- history is proof. The question, in my mind, isn't about the past, but about the future. It seems as if top line growth is a virtual certainty. The bottom line seems to be somewhat of a problem. It would seem that gross margins are largely responsible for the problem (not counting acquisitions)...any possibility that they will be able to overcome this? Is anybody else aware of any other areas where FORE can make significant cuts?

What are the odds that FORE can survive on its own? Be bought out? I think both are possible, and wouldn't be surprised to see FORE hit 25-30 dollar range- provide it can actually string along a couple of decent quarters of growing their net income...even if this takes 1-2 years, I think the possibility of a 100% return is there. Might FORE tumble to $8- that is a risk we must take with any security. But I don't think that $13-14 is unfair for this company at this point...
