kaintuck: From looking at the volume this afternoon, it appears that something may in fact be going on. Volume and price picked up about one-half hour after the PR, although I agree with you that old news should not have caused a stir.

I'll speculate that Howard may begin buying back shares as soon as the line of credit becomes available IF the bank will allow it to be used for for this purpose. When I spoke to Bill at IR last week , he said that the line would be available for "general corporate purposes", but he didn't sound too sure.

Regarding the planned Sec. 506 offering, Bill said that none of the deal had been underwritten. Personally, I wouldn't expect a real enthusiastic reception for this type of deal. A 20% minority interest in an aviation manufacturer? No public market for the shares? No published financials? Expectations that significant intercompany transactions may take place with the parent? Hmmmm. One can hardly give away Boeing shares these days. Hope these guys see something that I don't, or know someone who is interested and has deep pockets.
