If you're looking for a universal moralism, then the truism "Man exploits Man" would still pertain.

We will not achieve "utopia" until all needs and wants are taken care of, while retaining the human spirit motivated to seek excellence and progress.

Some say that the greatest inventions of man have spawned from our conflicts. Were it not for those conflicts, it is unlikely that many of our present-day technologies would exist.

The problem is that we're more intent on killing one another over territory and commodities, or national banners, than uniting together as a planet for the global good.

Some day we'll either tire of the enourmous economic costs of war, or we'll blow ourselves up.

It is interesting that one of the major driving forces in capitalism is the pursuit of global free trade and interconnectivity of economies. Separated, unconnected economies find themselves with little to lose and much to gain in choosing to make war. Interlinked economies find it much harder to overcome the internal business interests that have wide-spread business interests.

At least that is the theory.

Regards,

Ron
