David,

Interesting theory. Maybe Jeff Anthony was talking about issuance of new stock as the deal. That is strange, for two reasons. First of all, I have not heard anything from Jeff Anthony and I am wondering how you know what he said and how you got that this stock option plan was what he was talking about. Secondly, if he were talking about something for NRI, I highly doubt that this would be it. Why? Because the stock option price, determined by recent trading, is at $2.20. Now, if they are not planning to do really well, they have done nothing except given themselves the ability to buy stock at a price that the market will not sustain without earnings, and have in effect cut off their nose to spite their face, because this talk would have caused the stock price to rise on assumption of more than a stock option plan coming out of the wood-work. I highly doubt that is what Jeff Anthony was talking about, if indeed he was talking about anything.

I, of course, have a different theory. If you have really good news coming out soon (I am running with your theory of Jeff Anthony alluding to some news), would you not try and release it at the opportune time so as to capitalize on it as much as possible. That is to say, if you are issuing options for your employees, of which you are one, and these options are based on recent trading activity, would you not be really happy if the stock was trading on a falling basis, thus making your option price relatively low? Secondly, you could virtually make sure that the stock is not going to trade up by doing nothing to raise the price (i.e. no news and be as tight lipped as possible), right?? So, if there is great news coming out, it would stand to reason that NRI would like to wait before letting any cats out of the bag. It would serve their purpose, assuming such is to make money and I think it is safe to make this assumption.

All this theory is based on the idea that NRI has been alluding to some news, and I am not aware of any such leak. If there is no such news coming, and indeed the speculation of news then is no more than false statements blown out of proportion, then this option activity is nothing more than preparing themselves for "future" success. That could be as early as tomorrow, or as late as years from now, if it happens. The point is, they wanted a bigger piece of the pie (assuming that there is some pie to be had in the future). Which is their choice. I wish I had the option of doing this, but I do not. Then again, I am just a stockholder. These guys are the ones that go to work at NRI everyday and have put a lot more of themselves into the company and hopefully into its success. I am not that upset at what they are doing. Just like I am would not be that upset if I went to a great restaurant, got great service, and noticed that the bill automatically had calculated in tip. Nice, not really... Profitable...you bet. Now let's hope that the service is worth the tip.

Regards,
Bob
