Hummingbird Acquires Leonard's Logic SA For $20.4M TORONTO (Dow Jones)--Hummingbird Communications Ltd. (HUMC) said it has acquired Leonard's Logic SA of France, maker of Genio, a leading data-transformation and exchange tool. In a press release, Hummingbird said the purchase price will be about US$20.4 million, payable in cash. It said the acquisition will enable it to offer a turnkey solution for deployment of data marts integrated with a full range of business-intelligence capabilities. The company said it will use the Genio product line in conjunction with its BI/Suite and Financial Frameworks products to provide its customers with a complete data mart solution. Under the terms of the agreement, Leonard's Logic's president and key personnel will continue to be employed by Hummingbird, the company said. Hummingbird Communications provides enterprise connectivity software.
