Can someone tell me if it's having an Instanet acct that makes it easier to get shares to short or makes it faster to short? appears no one wants to answer any questions. The other questions I have are:
1) how does offshore shorting work? if it's the same way as an on-line broker anywhere, then I don't see how it's easier or faster. So, is it Instanet that makes it faster and easier to short?
2) does anyone have a better or the correct link for Anthony's post mentioning a site www.ghsecurities.ky/home.htm ? Every time I clicked on that I get "contains no data" error message. I tried html instead of htm, and still got the same error message.
3) is the above securities firm a specialist in shorting? are there any others?

Though I've been able to see/anticipate the turns, and then of the times when I think to short and try, I seem never to get the shares. If it takes more than a bit, I cancel. Either I have a) the wrong stocks (and this is probably the case b/c I watch a bunch of them) b) have a broker that doesn't get the shares and takes too long to check for availability c) has a slow web site d) I don;t leave the order in long enough (I do limits at ask, maybe it should be at market).

My returns are way way way way smaller than what Archer said he's done with Anthony ($500,000 in 3 months!). I'd be happy with 10% of that and in 6 months or 12 months from shorting strategies. Right now, the amount I've made shorting is much less than 1% of my long strategies.

It does make sense I believe to short as it seems things come down faster than they go up. Any help is appreciated in answering my questions. Thanks.
