I do eat raw beef, when I am cooking, and trimming off the fat, I sometimes trim off a little raw beef and pop it in my mouth. The men in the house hate fat on their meat, you need to trim it off with a scalpel, practically. If one of the kids accidentally gets a bit of meat fat in his mouth they make horrible faces and spit it out and get very irate. No lovely brown steak fat for them.
