SYDNEY, Australia, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Solomon Telekom has granted software development company New Discoveries Publishing Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: NWDP) the option to license its software to Internet gaming, sportsbook and wagering companies based on Solomon Islands. The software license follows recent negotiations between New Discoveries and Solomon Telekom. New Discoveries and its licensees will use the Island's infrastructure and telecommunication services to make Internet gaming accessible to the world's wagering population, estimated to be worth a staggering $29.2 billion by next year. New Discoveries Publishing Corp. CEO and Chairman Peter Michaels said that the agreement gives New Discoveries the option to license its software to companies to conduct Internet gaming, sportbetting and wagering activities on the Island. "We now have the technology, infrastructure and licensing regulations to begin our Internet gaming facilities," said Mr. Michaels. Mr. Peter Michaels said he believed the New Discoveries' license agreement would set a precedent for regulated Internet and sports wagering activities throughout the world. "New Discoveries is in the unique position to facilitate the flow of regulated Internet gaming by licensing our software to companies in the Solomon Islands. This will bring increased Internet traffic to the Island," he said. Delighted with today's license approval, Mr. Michaels believes that this is an indication of the confidence in Internet technologies.
