With the in development "smart" technology,ie. biometrics and the attitude of OEM firearms manufacturers,I don't see OEM's as LOCK's target audience.Rest assured if OEMS are forced,OEM's will produce(out source) and supply the most inexpensive lock possible with weapons sold. I would assume that LOCK's consumer would be existing owners with deep pockets, or have access to taxpayer cash. With the advent of biometrics, improved electronics, and IMO the most important-composite frame materials (we're talking imbedding),the smart technology just isn't that far away, and you know gov., they want the latest and greatest.Just a few of my thoughts, subject is near and dear to me..with firearms, less moving parts is better, and incorporation beats attachment every time..IMO,DD PS: sorry for my long winded views..I'll hold my tongue<g> DD PSS: check out the Smith & Wesson Sigma .40 cal w/ composite frame..state of the art... |
