G'day all - this is a time to be serious! While I am very much an apolitical person - with probably an occasional streak of righteousness <sg> - I watch in horror the unfolding of the spy case against Wen Ho Lee, a taiwanese american, who has been summarily fired by Dr John Browne. While indeed it is a most serious offense - since military espionage is indeed high treason, especially when it is committed by a 1st generation american [the idea is that s/he chose to be part of this country, and not by birthright, and thus make it morally inexcusable] - it reminds me of the potential return of McCarthyism, which has begun to rear its ugly head during the impeachment saga. Has anyone heard anything substantive about the allegations against Wen Ho Lee? best, Bosco
