Re: The Bear Market of 1997 is being blamed on Year 2000 issues!!!

From comlinks.com:
The Bear Market of 1997 -John Westergaard raised eyebrows at the AITP/DPMA conference at the City University, in NYC, (Dec. 5th) by slamming the efforts of the Clinton White House, regarding Year 2000. Later interviewed for Y2K Investor, the Washington radio program, by Ed Meaghan and Alan Simpson, he repeated his criticisms. "This week Wall Street has started the fall towards the Bear Market of 1997, followed by two years of declines, directly attributable to Year 2000 issues.

Conclusion: expect Year 2000 company stocks to make another run like they did last March. ALYD at 11.5 is a steal!
