I'm going to take a beating here on my March $40 calls, (broke one of my rules by waiting for the earnings numbers but stock was weak and seemed to me to be low so I hung in - my mistake) but one of my biggest concerns when I took my position was that too many analysts were calling this thing a buy or Strong buy. Analysts are a great contrarian indicator. Several have now lowered their next Quarter estimates and issued downgrades. If we keep in mind that the expected release of 8i probably caused several potential customers to delay their upgrades, this quarter is likely to look quite strong and should easily beat whatever consensus estimate these analysts come up with after the dust settles.

The point: I lost, oh well. I have not lost faith in the company, just wish I had more un-invested cash, so I could buy the stock now for a nice short term gain. Instead I will probably grab some April 30's for a quick, but small gain on my expected near term recovery to $32, then some Junes to play next Quarter earnings but I want to watch for the day first.

This is one of the better ORCL threads out there, keep up the good work.

M. (back to lurking now)
