If the probability of having a crash in 5 years has a uniform distribution for all airliners. The one just had a crash should be considered as the safest to fly. Not to mention significant improvement of maintenance and strickier safety measures company has to take to pass the FAA inspection. The absence of Vjet has caused significant increase of ticket price in the area they served. Coming back to business of the Vjet will certainly benifit a lot of people. It is also a pain to the big guy. To eliminate the competition, the big guy may take some action to buy this company. Yesterday's action of the stock certainly implied this possibility. This is just my explaination or you can call it as speculation.
