Isaac's Harbour

March 12, 1999 - Hole #4 will have been be completed on Thursday evening. Total depth is not yet known. Our personnel have left the site to prepare and travel to Toronto for the PDAC. The rig will be moved today and they will spud hole #5. This will be the most significant coring so far relative to the results that can be expected. This hole will be close to vertical, a minus 6-degrees, straight down the anticline looking to intercept the saddles we believe are present. Hole #6 will be down the syncline and will definitely intercept the saddle formations.

All the holes are being bored at either 360 or 180 degrees. This new line of #5 to #6 is parallel to the line formed by #1 - #4 about 65 meters west and at the site of ramp #2. This is a ramp from the old workings and will be de-watered soon so we may re-enter it for exploration.

Site preparation work is being done at hole #6 with brush cutting and some pulping of the surface timber. The timber will be sold and should pay for the costs plus about the next two years' taxes on the property.

After the PDA conference we will begin the splitting of the core from all the holes drilled so far. The balance of hole #1 (since we only ran about 25% of it so far) and holes #2 through #6 should be ready to run as well. We will not publish the partial results on #1 yet, as they are incomplete and have no meaningful interpretation to the general public.

David Dowe using the AutoCAD facilities at St. FX has completed down-hole charting for holes #1 and #2. The geology is beginning to take shape.
