Charles; Regarding the platinum. If it does not come out in the extraction process that leaches the gold, the only thing left is a continuous enhanced gravity concentration circuit. This differs from a standard Knelson in that it will run on a continuous stream, and not semi continuous as the standard ones are. (the standard ones will work) but someone referred to a failed Knelson test. For a Knelson to work well all the particles must be similar in size. The knelso then spins then\m around so that they feel a centrifugal force around 50 times the force of gravity. It then pumps water against this flow so the particles are free falling in a stream of water going upwards. The heavier fall faster and reach the bottom, the lighter get washed out the top. The problem is area(drag) is a square function, and weight is a cubic function(weight/falling force) so if you have too great a range then small heavy gold/platinum particles go out the top and are gone and large heavy rocks fall down into your concentrate. Ideally they should all be sphere of the same size. It would then work perfectly. In a real world you should screen your 400 mesh into a passes 400 catches on 450, passes 450 catches on 500 and smaller than 500 mesh. Each should have their own Knelson. At this point you will be able to get good separation from a Knelson. The concentrate thus gathered is sent or further treatment at a metal specialist, or if enough(yes) make a platinum concentrate circuit.
