(COMTEX) B: C-Phone Introduces Sentinel Video Surveillance System
B: C-Phone Introduces Sentinel Video Surveillance System

LAS VEGAS (March 12) BUSINESS WIRE -March 12, 1999--

Next Generation Security Product Adds Internet Connectivity,
Enhanced Audio and Video

C-Phone Corporation (NASDAQ: CFON) introduced the Sentinel(TM),
C-Phone's latest development in affordable remote video security for
applications ranging from franchise and small businesses surveillance
to law enforcement and military reconnaissance. The Sentinel is
designed for simplicity of operation and high reliability and provides
real time live remote video and audio anywhere in the world.

The C-Phone Sentinel is being rolled out at the International Security
Conference and Exposition. Visit C-Phone at the Sands Expo & Convention
Center, C-Phone Booth No. 746 to witness the latest in surveillance
technology.

The solid state design and robust hardware enclosure offers high
reliability in a wide range of industrial settings. The Sentinel is
configured as a stand-alone device that can operate over analog or ISDN
phone lines and connects with either a PC or TV for remote viewing. An
infrared remote control and on-screen menus offer extremely simple
operation. The Sentinel can be controlled locally or remotely through
its serial port by other hardware including personal computers and a
variety of software applications.

The newest feature of the C-Phone Sentinel is Internet / IP
connectivity which allows connections between a monitoring station and
a site being monitored to be made over the Internet without incurring
long distance phone charges.

The newest product in the C-Phone surveillance line includes a number
of special features important to integrators and installers. The
Sentinel product can be integrated with existing alarm and CCTV systems
as well as remote central station applications. It accommodates up to
seven video and audio sources, selectable and viewable remotely with
just one phone call.

In addition, built-in digital pan/tilt/zoom capabilities, on all video
inputs, allow the user to capture and view a particular area so that
the small details become visible.

"We know that to truly compete in the security marketplace, we have to
address the issues important to all surveillance users," says Jim
Jarvis, C-Phone's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "The C-Phone
Sentinel, with its array of security features, is a versatile product
designed to meet the needs of the industry for cost effective remote
monitoring. Based on its ease of installation and use, affordability,
low maintenance and operating costs, we think that the Sentinel is the
best value on the market today."

The C-Phone Sentinel will be on display throughout the Expo at booth
No. 746.
