M: Please, I am NOT an advocate for PPOD, believe me. I have NO position, although like everyone else, I'm interested in what works and what doesn't. Your points are well taken and well argued. If I could, however, let me just make a one small point for consideration. The most prominent on-line business deals in books. All aspects of the book biz are low low margin. Books are also something that people want to browse through and look at and feel. Yet this crumby business made the internet a mass-market commercial phenomenon and created one of the stock market's most amazing nut cases. Good luck. M2
