Peter and all,

You wrote: "The more established companies have an
installed base of clients who are more likely to stick with them when they come out with decent web based
solutions."

My understanding is that Open Text has 1 million seats already including Ford, Siemens, Springer Verlag, HP, and others. If you
look back over press releases since late summer, Open Text
has been announcing major Livelink deals with major corporations
with very high frequency. What am I missing? I have also heard
that Documentum's approach to a web-enabled solution is really in
its infancy. What is the logic that says that Documentum can catch
up with Livelink technology-wise?

Another question I have is: When Siemens cites its intranet solutions
it cites Netscape. I thought that Open Text's Livelink was the
engine for enterprise management and that Livelink simply used
Netscape's browser as an interface. Yet Open Text is not
cited as being a part of the solution. Again, what am I missing?

Finally, this company seems to react price-wise along with the
internet search engine companies. Is this just due to a mix-up
in the perception of what Open Text does?

Just trying to understand better,

Mike
