Winner,

The email I received explains the difficulty in the DRAM market is a result of a strategy that Intel pursued this fall to buy A LOT of DRAM to sell to OEMs on board. It turns out that most OEMs want to buy their DRAM directly from manufactures like MU. Consequently Intel cancelled their spring orders (from everyone, including MU). MU has been able to sell the majority of that cancelled order to OEMs. Contract pricing is complete for MU for their 2Q. Four megs went for $12.50 - $12.00. Demand is still strong.

I think the source of this info is reliable, but as Larry Dudash puts it, it is BABBLE.
