Not so fast there Mardy. You don't believe Q! is a nest of spies? Sure, they will be few and Ericy is no doubt mainly decent, capable, people doing great things. While Richard Bliss might not have been a spy, I wouldn't bet too much at all of my money that Q! isn't used one way or another as a conduit for 'spying' by the USA. Perhaps unknowingly. But perhaps knowingly. Q! has got pals like Bernie Schwartz who is an international spy, traitor and Democratic supporter, handing state secrets on soldering to the evil commies in China who want to nuke all the Big Mac shops in the USA because they are culturally infiltrating China and the young Chinese are getting FAT! According to some Republican Senators, Congressors or somebody.

Unscom was used as a spy base. I used to work at BP Oil and the new Director of NZ's spy agency [who are more pathetic than the FrogMen who blew up the Rainbow Warrior] went from BP to there. [Quite a few years ago now]. An ex-CIA guy was working with me in Belgium and I'm sure he was noting down number plates and stuff like that - visiting commie countries under the guise of setting up truck stops and stuff.

It seems eminently sensible to me for Q! to think that it would be not a bad thing to ensure Algorhythmic support from the USA political, military and judicial system by co-operating in ensuring freedom of the world by allowing some spies in their private time to keep an eye out for papier mache rockets in Red Square while positioning Babes so handsets can easily connect.

Even paranoid spies really might have double-double-agents to deal with. With CDMA, there are likely to be double-double-double-double agents because those systems are VERY sophisticated.

So yes, I think spying is quite possible.

Ericy probably can't do much in the way of doubledoubledoubledouble because their Algorithms are not up to it. They have to make do with plain old bribery and corruption. Of course not all of them; they have to remain incognito and be just a few! Maybe neither company is even aware of their presence.

Spies and crooks!

Maurice
