Well, I agree with you Mardy. Much, much better for the crooks and spies to get together and overlay GSM across Europe and everywhere else to enable WWeb. But if there is deadlock in negotiations, then there is still a road ahead for Q! though it would be much less economic for subscribers than an agreement with Ericy which would enable the useful components of GSM networks to be used.

Q! evidently believes Ericy really does have something to offer, otherwise there would be no point going through all this drama with the ITU. It must be more than just another boring old licensee. We've got heaps of those already. Maybe Ericy holds the keys to GSM networks if Q! wants to do an overlay.

Somebody who might know about such stuff suggested that to me yesterday - see earlier post
