RFC1490 is a specification for a data protocol-
If you want to review it, fire up Altavista.com and search on RFC1490 and you will get a bunch of references. By the way, there was a typo in my previous response. It should be 18 (not 10) bits times 8000 frames a second is 144Kbps.
